A Nursery with Heart and Heritage

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Stephanie a few years ago on her charming 350-square-foot studio in West Palm Beach, an airy retreat filled with rattan furnishings and a velvety, blush-pink tasseled sofa, a subtle nod to Stephanie's former roots as a professional ballerina. It's so wonderful to have the opportunity to work with Stephanie again in this new chapter – a thoughtfully designed space for her little daughter.

"To layer in texture...
We added a matching Petite Wicker Footstool, handwoven by the Society Social team, which works perfectly during bedtime and early morning snuggles."

"The chair we've rocked a thousand memories in..."
Stephanie Hill opens the doors to her daughter Penelope's light-filled nursery, where every detail tells a story. Antique pie cabinets reimagined as closets, a bespoke Society Social rocker in a beloved legacy print, and handwoven wicker touches come together in a space that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly chic.

"One of the questions I get asked the most is...
Where's Penelope's nursery chair from? I chose the Austen Swivel Rocker Glider and covered it in the iconic Chinese Peony print from Lee Jofa... a fabric I've loved for years and anchors the design of our home." The Austen provides the comfort of a swivel rocker glider with the sophistication of a tailored curved wing back. Her high back and notched arms provide extra support so you can sit back and relax. Plus, the customization options are endless – choose from our curated fabric offerings, send in your own favorite fabric, aka COM, and even add designer details like contrast piping and tape trim.

"These are more than pieces of furniture... they're the backdrop of our sweetest, most tender moments... pieces she can use forever. My hope is that she will one day pass these handmade heirlooms down." - Stephanie
